Scared? Say your scared!

Scary movies are definitely my favorite movies. There the perfect movies to cuddle up with someone, and the cheesy ones can even be funny! Fear is a funny thing, it comes in so many different forms. For example I am scared to death to get on a roller-coaster, noooo thank you! Or you can be scared of getting big, fat "F" on that Algebra test. I've classified fear in three ways : 1 Physical. 2 Emotional. 3 Spiritual. Let me explain. Physical fear is the fear of injury or getting hurt. Why do you wear a helmet? Physical fear. Why do you take medicine? Physical fear. Why don't I ride roller-coasters? Physical fear. Now on to numero two, Emotional fear, that where your afraid of "getting your feelings hurt". You really like someone, but your scared of losing them as a friend if you dated? Emotional fear. You have trouble trusting people? Emotional fear. I personally have the most trouble with Emotional fear because of my "not so peachy" child-hood. The last, and most important fear, Spiritual. I bet your wondering what the heck is that? Well here it is: Lack of Faith.   ------->
(faith/fāTH/ a:confidence or trust in a person or thing: faith in another's ability.) Spiritual fear simplified is not fully trusting in God. Come on now, he is the King of the universe! He made the oceans, stars, and all things we see! If God is calling you to a purpose like to sing, or minister to your peers and your scared to death remember these verses.

Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."

Isaiah 41:10
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Psalm 27:1
The LORD is my light and my salvation-- whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life-- of whom shall I be afraid?

The Lord says himself he will protect and shelter you! After all, you are his child and he loves you dearly, so don't be afraid! The author of humanity is watching over you and shielding you. Whom shall you fear?

Why, why, why???

This week I've been thinking about a lot of things. Especially the fact "Why don't I have a boyfriend?!?!?" I'm sure everyone can relate to that. Anyway, I was driving down the road the other day jamming out to some music, and one line from a song called "By Your Side" caught me.... it said "Why are you looking for love?
Why are you still searching as if I'm not enough?"Let me tell you I almost wrecked the car. My mind just stopped racing and I thought wow. These days us teenagers are constantly searching for happiness in a boyfriend/girlfriend, thinking we'll be complete if we just find that special someone. Then we'll get all depressed being the only one out of our group of friends without a date, beating ourselves up and searching ourselves for flaws that are keeping us from being in a relationship. Well let me reassure you, there is nothing wrong with you! Here is the answer to all of your relationship woes. God doesn't want you to be in a relationship, plain and simple. Now before you start flipping out and heading for that red X in the top right-hand corner consider this.... It says in the Bible, God is a jealous God, right? So he wants you to focus solely on him, and grow with him. Your Father wants some quality time with you to fix you up and give you the love you need so when the time comes for you to be with "that special someone" you'll be ready to be with them, and be the best you, you can be for them. So just wait, be patient, and pray. It took me several years to realize this, but once you do, you'll be so much more happy. But check out that song mentioned earlier, it will explain it all (:
